How to play Naptuft

A visual guide · Care through your first cosy day

Your goal

Keep one little cat cosy, one moment at a time.

Feed, play, brush, or nap to lift one need. Every choice also moves the day forward, so the other needs dip a little. Follow Little wishes for big bonuses, and keep all four needs away from zero for as many days as you like.

01Care for the need that needs you

One button lifts one need

Food28+36Joy76Clean54Energy63Care for the lowest need before it reaches zero
Feed helps Food, Play helps Joy, Brush helps Cleanliness, and Nap helps Energy. Each restores up to 36 before the moment's need use is counted.

A number below 40 loses the cosy moment bonus. A need at zero ends the run, so the lowest bar is often more important than a perfect bar.

On touch or with a mouse, tap a care button. On a keyboard, use 1, 2, 3, and 4 for Feed, Play, Brush, and Nap.

02Follow the Little wish in order

Finish the steps before four moments pass

The outlined step is next. You may fit other care between wish steps, but the wish only advances when you choose the next pictured action.

Wishes start with one step, grow to two on Day 2, and reach three steps from Day 4. Complete wishes in a row to build the bonus up to ×3.

03Let every choice score twice

Care points and bonuses stack

You score the amount restored, plus 10 when every need remains at 40 or more. A completed wish pays 60 per step, multiplied by your wish streak.

At the twelfth moment, keeping every need at 30 or more adds another 120 points. A wish can be valuable, but never trade away the run to finish one.

04Read the household mood

The forecast tells you what will fall faster

Household mood: Sleepy afternoonNow: Energy uses 2 extra each momentNext: Food uses 2 extra each moment1–4 Feed5–8 Brush · Play9–12 Nap · Feed
Open Household mood to see the current pressure, what comes next, and all three wishes for today. Nothing changes while you read.
  • Day 1 is quiet. Later windows put extra pressure on one or two needs.
  • Use a spare wish moment to prepare the need the next mood will drain.
  • From Day 7, the same activity cannot be chosen twice in a row.

05Build a rhythm that leaves room

Wish steps do not have to touch

This four-moment example completes Feed then Brush while fitting Play between them and using the last moment to protect Energy.

The action missing from a wish is often the need most likely to be forgotten. Check all four bars before taking the final wish step.

06Choose when the visit ends

  • Each day lasts 12 care moments, split into three Little wishes.
  • At the day break, choose Next Day to continue or End Run to bank your score.
  • You can also pause and end the run between care choices.
  • If a need reaches zero, your cat simply settles down for a rest. Your points stay with you.
