How to play Sunpleat
A visual guide · Make your first fold, read sun and moon faces, and learn retries and scoring.
Your goal
Fold the garland. Catch the sun.
Put every pennant in number order with its sun face showing. A fold turns over the group from the left edge through the position you choose.
These enlarged diagrams use the real first two garlands. They teach the rules separately from your live garden. This is a turn-based puzzle with no clock while you think.
01Choose the first two pennants
Before: 2 moon, 1 moon, 3 sun
- Touch or mouse: choose a pennant position, then press Flip first. You choose a group length, not the pennant’s printed number.
- Keyboard: focus the game and use Left, Right, Home, End or 1 to 5 to choose a group within the current garland. Tab to Flip first, then press Enter or Space.
- Tab visits labelled controls. Every button supports touch and mouse too. Selection is free; the flip uses one move.
02Turn the group over
After: 1 sun, 2 sun, 3 sun
A sun has a round centre and rays; a moon is a crescent. Both the order and the faces must match the target row. Numbers always stay upright. Press Next Garland to continue after a clear.
03A second fold can undo the first
Second garland: flip the first three
Flip the same group again
- Moves left is the accepted-flip budget. Par is the fewest flips for that puzzle. Each garland allows par +4 moves.
- You start with 3 leaves. An unfinished garland at zero moves uses one leaf. Retry Garland restores that same puzzle and its full budget without using another leaf.
- Restart Garland also uses one leaf after confirmation. Cancelling costs nothing. The third used leaf finishes the run; earned points stay with you.
- A clear on the last move still counts. The first garland earns 175 with no moves left, without losing a leaf.
04Keep growing, or Bank your points
The next garland starts with a fresh budget
- Each clear earns 100 + 25 per pennant + 10 per unused move. A par clear earns 240 with four pennants or 265 with five.
- Eight introductory garlands lead into a repeating circuit of templates 5 to 8. Par clears of the first eight total 1970; the first twelve total 3030. There is no final introductory victory or forced timer.
- Stop and Bank finishes with your earned points after confirmation, even at zero. It adds no unfinished-garland points and uses no leaf. Play Again starts a fresh run; Menu returns to the games.
- Actions holds How to Play, Garland List, Restart and display controls. This Visual Guide preserves your garland and selected group. The original How to Play instructions remain available.
- The complete stage needs at least 288 × 370 pixels stacked or 560 × 258 wide. Its field needs 264 × 246 stacked or 264 × 220 wide. Platform controls, safe areas and browser bars need additional room.
- If A little more room, please appears, enlarge the window or rotate your phone. Play waits safely until enough room returns. Full screen has a reachable exit; unsupported browsers offer Expand game, where phone browser bars may remain.
- Scroll outside the stage to reach platform instructions and rankings below it.
