How to play Traywake
A visual guide · Make your first match, carry loads and line up pairs with illustrated examples.
Your goal
Move the trays. Keep the parcels rolling.
Match each falling parcel to the receiving tray with the same symbol. Build loads, finish clean shifts and keep sorting for as long as you like.
These are simplified teaching diagrams, separate from your live field. Traywake runs in real time and needs no sound. Help preserves your run; close it and choose Resume when ready.
Three symbols, three receiving trays
01Make your first match
Swap neighbouring trays before a parcel arrives
- Choose Start. Focus the field and press A or Left to swap lanes 1 and 2; D or Right swaps lanes 2 and 3. Press and release for each swap.
- Mouse, pen and touch: use the labelled Swap 1 + 2 and Swap 2 + 3 buttons. Focused buttons also work with Enter or Space. Dragging the field does not move a tray.
- Swaps share a short 100 millisecond pause. Holding a key does not repeat swaps, and a press during that pause is not queued. Look ahead and use fresh presses.
- Each parcel takes 3 active seconds to arrive. Make your final swap before it lands; a swap at the receipt cannot change that parcel’s result.
02Finish a load
Your third matching parcel ships the load
Loads belong to the trays. Moving a tray or starting a new shift keeps its pips. A wrong match costs one mistake and gives no points; earned score and partial loads remain.
03Read the next arrivals
Two parcels can land together
- Score shows earned points. Shift counts continuing shifts. Mistakes left starts at 3 for the entire run. Loads shows each tray’s pips.
- Watch approaching symbols while the nearest parcel lands. Swapping a loaded tray keeps its load. A wrong tray spends one mistake; losing the last mistake ends the run.
- The line becomes busier through shift four, then holds its pace. Six pattern sets repeat; there is no final shift or run timer.
04Continue, pause or Bank
A finished shift starts the next one
- Pause stops the line. With the field focused, P pauses or resumes a manually paused run; Escape pauses. Guide opens these pictures. How to Play keeps the original text.
- Help, browser interruptions and too little space preserve the field and stop active timers. Close help, release held keys, then choose Resume. A manually paused run remains paused.
- Bank finishes immediately with your earned score, even during a pause or the break between shifts. Falling parcels and unfinished loads add no bonus. Play Again starts fresh; Menu returns to the games.
- The field needs at least 252 × 266 pixels plus the HUD and controls. Portrait 320 × 568 and landscape 640 × 360 browser spaces are supported. Browser bars and safe areas can reduce usable room.
- If Need more space appears, enlarge the window or rotate your device. Your run stays safe, and Guide and Bank remain reachable. Scroll outside the field to reach the information below.
